Sri Lanka has lots of adventures to offer, including: Galle Fort for history, shopping and dining, whale watching, spice plantations, national parks, surfing and diving and, if you are lucky, you can see turtles laying their eggs on the beach outside the villa.

Ambalama Sri Lanka is a wonderful 4 bedroom villa to rent on the sea. Our family took it for Christmas/New Year 2016/17. Things that make it totally brilliant: 1. The staff are fantastic 2. The view from the villa onto the crashing waves is perfect. 3. The pool is great and the central sitting reais a lovely place to spend time If you are looking for a wonderful villa you will not be disappointed!
Visited this place on a fine Nov weekend for both our friends' 60th and 40th birthday. The place is fab and lovely, it's so perfect for private events and family gathering. I love the ambiance of the villa, very welcoming, it's everything you need for a great weekend with good friends. All pics and things are as they were advertised. What you see is what you truly get. Staff were very attentive and ready with a big smile. During the day, if you're lucky, you can even see the most romantic and spectacular sunset descending over a sea of clouds.
Okay to be clear I've stayed here at Ambalama Villa three times and also nearby at Kalahe another property with the same owner. The location is right on the ocean. There's a lovely pool and garden outside. You can dine inside or outside and their chef does fantastic local (Sri Lankan( and western cuisine. Ambalama is close to Galle and there is a good pizza restaurant a short walk along the beach.
