Embracing the Environment
We have embarked on an ambitious journey to minimise our carbon footprint at Ambalama Bali.
- Sistonica Certified. Aligned with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Ambalama Villa has been certified with implementing the highest standards for rental villas.
- Reduce power consumption from grid with low power LED lighting and air sourced heating pumps for hot water.
- Installed PV solar panels which meet daytime consumption requirements at the villa.
- Recycled wood in construction.
- A circular approach to food composting. We are a proud partner of Urban Compost Bali , the leading organic composting company in Bali. We compost our own organic trimmings.
- A policy to avoid single use plastic wherever possible.
- Planted Bali’s largest and most diverse micro forest in 2022. 1000 trees and 100 species all endemic to Bali which act as a carbon sink.
- Rainfall capture to irrigate the gardens.
- Home grown fruit, vegetables and herbs

What Our Guests Say
This property is truly peaceful, with views across the gardens and neighbouring rice paddy fields. The villa is architecturally designed with many different spaces for lounging, reading, dining and relaxing in the sun or shade. The staff are very friendly & attentive, they can organise almost any requirements such as in-room massage and beauty therapy. The in-house chef has a broad menu of local and western dishes and they can also cater for healthy wellness options. The rooms are very private and allow to escape away from the main living and dining area. It has been an unforgettable experience and I would recommend Ambalama Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat destination.
There is literally nothing bad someone could say about this place. The staff are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet and they go above and beyond to meet your needs. The pools, gardens and rooms are always immaculate with a beautiful view of the rice fields and mountains. This place makes you feel like you’re living a different life and I recommend anyone to go stay there even just to see the beautiful craftsman shop of the building
